Sunscreen SOS: help in picking the best Sun Protectant

Yes, we've just passed the half way point of summer, but there are plenty of hot days ahead. Protection from health damaging UVA and UVB rays are a very real concern.  With that in mind, you might want to give some consideration to the sunblock that you use.  If you listen to all the commercials, radio and newspaper advertisements your head will be reeling.  It's not an easy task when trying to select the right SPF for your needs.  Well, the Environmental Working Group's (EWG) online 2011 Sunscreen Guide just made that harrowing task a little easier.

The research of this Group has revealed that nearly one in three products in the guide contains vitamin A ingredients that may accelerate the growth of skin tumors and lesions.  They have also found that one in five suncscreens have exaggerated  sun protection factor ratings which can leave the skin open to damage from the harmful UVA and UVB rays.
